TRAVEL TO ANGOLA
Angola was gradually
conquered by the Portuguese by the sixteenth century. After decades of civil war, Angola
is now rebuilding again. Most people speak Portuguese, very few speak any English. The
capital city, and the largest city in Angola, is Luanda. Luanda was a
major slaving centre, even prior to the arrival of the Portuguese. During the Portuguese
period most slaves were shipped to Brazilian plantations. Visit the Museum of
Slavery, located just 16 miles from the city, to learn more. Also visit the
National Anthropology Museum. Kissama National Park
contains a variety of wildlife including exotic birds, ostriches, antelope, gazelles,
and giraffes. The Calandula Waterfalls are impressive, especially
during the rainy season.

Burundi is a landlocked
country with the lowest GDP per capita in the world. Burundi is considered the poorest
country in the world. Burundi's largest industry is agriculture with its crops including
coffee, tea, cotton, maize, and bananas. The capital is Bujumbura, located
on the shores of Lake Tanganyika. Please read all governmental advisories carefully when

are primitive or non existent.

Rwanda has been
called the 'land of a thousand hills'. The Rwandese exist on mostly subsistence
agriculture however they are extremely friendly to visitors. Visitors to Kigali
should visit the Genocide Museum. Visit the Parc National des Volcans
to take a see the world famous mountain gorillas. Kabarando is a
launching point for many safaris to see apes, antelope, zebra, antelope, elephants,
giraffes, hippos, buffalo, leopards, and many others.
TRAVEL TO ZAMBIA
Zambia was colonized
by the British in 1889 and English is still considered one of the official languages.
Zambia is a land of great beauty and tourism is booming, partially due to the troubles
of neighboring Zimbabwe. Zambia has 17 waterfalls, including world famous Victoria
Falls. The Zambezi River is perfect for canoeing safaris and
other water related activities. Visit the second largest natural park in the world,
Kafue National Park, to see birds, wildlife, and game fishing. Sumbu
National Park is located on the shores of Lake Tanganyika.
This park offers many water related activities including swimming, game fishing, and
boating. South Luangwa National Park and North Luangwa National
Park offer the opportunities for wildlife viewing including elephants, hippos,
lions, zebras, buffalo, puku, hyena, giraffes, antelopes, monkeys, and many others. In
Lusaka, the capital, visit the Soweto Market, the Anglican
Cathedral, and Lilayi Lodge.
