Try riding in a traditional dug out canoe (mokoro) to see pink flamingos. Almost 40% of
the country is devoted to national reserves so nature abounds. See antelopes, zebras,
giraffes, pink flamingos, lions, rhinos, hyenas, and many others in the variety of
safari reserves. National parks include Khama Rhino Sanctuary,
Chobe National Park, Gabarone Game Reserve,
Mokolodi Nature Reserve, Khutse Game Reserve, the
Central Kalahari Game Reserve and many others. The 1980 film The Gods
must be Crazy was located in Botswana.
TRAVEL TO MOZAMBIQUE
Mozambique is a
beautiful desert country known for its wildlife. Germany once governed Namibia and Germanic
influences are still apparent. The infrastructure is well developed. Most safaris depart
from Windhoek, the capital. Cities worth visiting include Luderitz
(a coastal German town) and Swakopmund (the largest German colonial coastal
town). Etosha National Park is an excellent place to watch wildlife including
elephants, zebras, giraffes, wildebeest, and many others.

South Africa is a
wild and sweeping country. South Africa has unforgettable scenery unsurpassed game viewing.
Visit the Kruger National Park to see the 'Big Five' (elephant, rhino,
lion, buffalo, and leopard). Other parks include Addo National Park,
Pilanesberg National Park, Hluhluwe-Umfolozi National Park,
and many others. Don't forget to enjoy some renowned South African wines. South Africa is
the world's leading producer of gold. Johannesburg sits upon the most
productive gold mine in the world. When in Johannesburg visit the Apartheid
Museum, Lesedi Cultural Village, Lion Park,
Johannesburg Art Gallery, and many others. Visit Cape Town and take a
cable car to Table Mountain. Swimming, surfing, and the wine lands are
all accessible from Cape Town. Gansbaai, in the Western Cape, is the
home of penguins, seals, large game fish, and great white sharks.
TRAVEL TO ZIMBABWE
Zimbabwe was once
known as the breadbasket of Africa. Unfortunately poor governmental practices have led
to civil unrest and ongoing shortages of all commodities. Travel is not recommended at
this time.
